SUNY Cortland, one of New York State’s largest educator preparation providers, remains actively involved in analyzing our teacher preparation curriculum to identify gaps and areas of weakness. With the use of Taskstream, this process has gained some uniformity, especially in the area of edTPA performance evaluation. This session will demonstrate how implementation and use of Taskstream’s integrated submission process has added to our effectiveness to compile, organize, review, and analyze edTPA student submissions across eleven teacher education programs. With the use of several different Taskstream tools, assessment of student work is beyond just a numerical edTPA rubric score. Instead, as the student’s scores arrive they are added to a program copy in Taskstream and a systematic review of the student’s work with a corresponding grade is available for analysis. This process has become a vehicle to authentically assess and develop understandings of patterns, challenges, and successes for our teacher education programs.
