Join AAC&U, SHEEO, and Taskstream for the second webinar in the Multi-State Collaborative to Advance Learning Outcomes Assessment/VALUE Initiative series.

For institutions grappling with how to best engage their faculty communities in meaningful assessment of student learning, the stories from participating campuses in the VALUE/Multi-State Collaborative to Advance Learning Outcomes Assessment offer many helpful insights.

In 2015, faculty from 59 campuses, both two- and four-year, in nine states gathered student work samples to be scored by calibrated faculty using the VALUE rubrics as part of a multi-state initiative to scale the direct assessment of student learning. Across nearly all institutions, faculty engagement was one of the most consistently cited and most compelling benefits for participating in the project.

Join us for this webinar to hear perspectives from three different participants about what worked and what didn’t when it came to recruiting and engaging faculty in this assessment initiative and why many project participants have reported such high levels of satisfaction regarding faculty engagement. The presenters will share insights with regard to their participation in the MSC and for similar scoring efforts on local campuses.
